Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Rate: September 4, 2025

The Brazoria County Municipal Utility District No. 03 (BCMUD 3) will hold a public hearing on its proposed tax rate for the 2025 fiscal year.

The District is proposing to keep its total tax rate unchanged at $0.33500 per $100 of valuation. However, due to a significant reduction in general homestead exemptions (from $16,002 to $3,617) and a change in average taxable values, the tax bill on an average residence homestead is projected to increase by $37.06 (3.12%) compared to last year.

For complete details, including the official breakdown of the M&O and Debt Service rates, please refer to the original notice.

Notice of Sewer Rate Adjustment

Brazoria County Municipal Utility District No. 3 (the “District”) is committed to providing efficient, high-quality sewer service while keeping rates as low as possible for our customers. To continue meeting rising operational costs, specifically increased garbage collection costs, the District has implemented a sewer rate adjustment.

Even with this increase, the District continues to offer some of the lowest water and sewer rates in the region. Please understand that the District’s Flat Sewer Rate includes the costs for garbage collections services as a pass-through cost to its customers and that the District for the past several years has been absorbing the increased costs for garbage collection without increasing its fees. We appreciate your understanding as we make this necessary adjustment to ensure continued reliable service.
